Trichur, Angathodu: Three men were netting parrots with a fishing net, which surfaced on social media. We have submitted a complaint to the forest department. Three were booked under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The news report in Marunadan Malayalee was viewed by more than 8 lakh people.
The news report alone could force a large number of people to release the caged parrots and raise awareness about the legal rights of parrots and birds.
