A rescuer of the Forest Rapid Response Team squeezed a python with his hands and forced it to regurgitate a fox. The workers found the python in a field and tied its neck with a rope. They poured chilly powder into the mouth of the snake to see the teeth. The rescuer also continued his torture to please the public. A case has been filed under the Wildlife Protection Act. The visual media news coverage was viewed by more than 4 million viewers, and it brought an equal number of awareness. Common people play with pythons, and rescuers forced to regurgitate pythons and share the videos were very common in Kerala. No python torture reported after this incident. Three to seven years imprisonment would be faced for any crime against the python, which is scheduled in the first section of the Wildlife Act and considered the most endangered snake in India.
