Dog Dragged Behind Car

A dog was tied up behind a car and dragged through a public road for abandoning the world was shocked. On the run, the dog fell, and a spectator, Mr. Akhil, was following the car and documented the video intercepted the car.

Followed by the video, the case became sensational. The driver Mr. Usaf was arrested and the police assured he will be prosecuted with maximum punishment enough to killing a dog as much as 5 years of imprisonment. We have approached the Aluva Magistrate Court to consider as an impleading party in the Case, which was dismissed due to a technical error. Again, we have submitted another plea before the magistrate court by clearing the errors which as also dismissed by the magistrate.

The last option was to approach the High Court with a revision petition. In the petition, we have requested to be an impleading party in the case and to prosecute the dog dragger with maximum sections of IPC 511 of 428/429,  426,  279,U/s 11(1) (a,c,d,f,i) of Prevention of Cruelty to animals Act -1960. U/s   19 (c)   of the Motor Vehicle Act -1988.

The Police Department has submitted a written submission stating that they are ready to include all the sections we have demanded in the case.
