Ezhumattur, Pathanamthitta: A poor lady, Sindhu, was facing regular threats from neighbors for feeding stray dogs. A large number of her dogs were poisoned. The panchayat issued a notice against her. Angels Nair and Sindhu visited Ezhumattur Panchayath office to realize the facts. A group of people surrounded both and abused in the presence of the Panchayath President and Panchayath Secretary.
A case has been lodged at Koyipuram Police Station, but they are favoring the culprits. Seeking action for the non-action of police, a complaint has been filed with the Director General of Police, the Human Rights Commission, etc. But was vane. With the intervention of the High Court, the police registered the complaint.
