According to the High Court Single Judge’s ruling, the Director General of Police must carry out a covert investigation into the claims made in the writ petition against the SHO, Koipuram, and other officials working under them for failing to promptly record a truthful statement from Smt. Sindhu failed to file a crime based on that statement and lied to the DSP, Pathanamthitta.
Since a report detailing the findings of the confidential investigation into the claims in the writ petition and the action taken against the delinquent officers in the matter must be filed to this Court within a month, the court determined that the authorities were guilty of inaction.
In an appeal to the Chief Justice, the Kerala police contested the actions taken by the single bench. Manikumar, the Chief Justice at the time, was biased to shield the state government from criticism. He didn’t ignore anything and issued a stay right away. We had to drop the case in the hopes of at least saving money, so we had given up on the proceedings.
The appeal petition and our primary petition have been pending until 2024. Since Mr. Nitin Jamdar was appointed Chief Justice in 2024, he has resolved every outstanding case. The appeal against us has resurfaced and is still pending in the High Court of Kerala.
