An Industrialist and celebrity Mr. Kochouseph Chittilappilly and his organization ‘Stray Dog Free Movement’ had published various advertisements promising free legal aid and support to people who killed dogs, in all the Malayalam newspapers. Due to this, thousands of stray dogs were killed brutally on the street by the public. Dogs turned hostile due to such hunting down, and soon after, packs of dogs killed 3 people.
