A man abandoned six puppies from a car along with some home garbage in a rural area, and the registration number of his car was noted. The puppies were translocated to the same place where the mother dog delivered. The video footage of the entire incident was published media and on local channels, which spread mass awareness.
A case was registered against him and Rs. 3,500 by the magistrate of Perumbavoor, Ernakulam. This is the only case in our knowledge fined for abandoning dogs in Kerala.
